Bank where you belong
The end of free checking?

According to the Wall Street Journal, free checking is "going the way of the free lunch" as banks attempt to fill their revenue gap with checking account fees and requirements. Examples include charging customers $6 a month for not using their debit card for at least five purchases, or requiring them to make two monthly bill payments to avoid a fee.

And things will only get worse. As banks lose revenue due to new credit card laws going into effect, you can expect them to find new and imaginative ways to get more money from their customers.

Not at FIGFCU. Our Free Checking is exactly that—free. And with no minimum balance requirements, unlimited check writing, free online banking with Bill Pay, and $50 cash when you sign-up for Direct Deposit, there's never been a better time to open a free checking account with FIGFCU.
